, 1/500 f/2.2, ISO 100, hand held.

I know the story.. and in my opinion the most beautiful statue of Staglieno! Also famous is the epitaph written in Genoese under the statue.
Greeting Lucia.

Hello Lucia, I agree with you that this is the most beautiful statue of Staglieno, the one that goes straightest to the heart.
During my exploratory tour at the monumental cemetery (which I underestimated in terms of charm) I was not sure that I would find it, given the immensity of the structure, but then halfway through the way here it is ... it certainly stands out among all ...
Thanks for the comment and have a good evening :-)

Staglieno always gives emotions - the first visit baffles, you are aware of the place where you are, but it is also an open-air museum .... which, however, is not a "favor" - a good dose of carelessness, helps to give the clear perception of the "passage of time" and the unexpected dimensions force repeated visits and ... new emotions ....

Hello Antonio .. I also took it back ... it seems that I look at you with severity mixed with benevolence ... look of a woman of character ... as I called it on Juza ...
Incredibly fascinating art enclosed in Staglieno ... always nice to go back ..
Hello ... good light always ! :-) 8-)

Hi Maury, you're perfectly right... the first visit to Staglieno is to be amazed.
Easo that, as you also said, this good is not maintained as it deserves (and think of how many people receive state economic subsidies to stay at home, or around, to do nothing, while here brooms and palettes would be enough to give a first fix).
In 4 abundant hours I think I was able to visit yes and no 30% and for sure I will come back as soon as the opportunity arises :-)
Good evening.

Hello Ale, I know that your photo to the "woman of character" I missed, but now remedy immediately and redo a tour through your galleries :-)
The appreciable thing about Staglieno is that it can be visited both in conditions of full sun and rain, so a joker for days when you are looking for a photographic destination different from the usual.
Thank you for the comment you left :-)

By Antonio ... in fact it is precisely the peculiarity of Staglieno, to offer different photographic ideas depending on the sector visited and different photographic conditions based on weather conditions - we go on average 2/3 times a year trying to focus on specific sectors - if they do not require Green pass, at the beginning of autumn we plan a visit! .... In case we organize ourselves ...!

So many stories and so many friends in Genoa, that's why I know this incredible sculpture, a piece of common history, which comes from below, from the people, to challenge the oblivion of time.
Staglieno is something extraordinary that I have visited several times and this series of photos, in my humble opinion, could be implemented with many other shots.
A cordial greeting.
Paul

You are absolutely right Paolo, the monumental cemetery of Staglieno, despite being a place where hundreds of people are buried (and therefore also arousing painful emotions to those who visit it), contains countless and extraordinary sculptural works, which leave those who go there speechless, and even more so those who are passionate about photography.
Personally I have visited it 3 times, for a total of about 7-8 hours, and I have not explored it all; I have many other shots taken in Staglieno and I do not exclude publishing more, even if I am a bit hesitant, given the lack of interest that arouses this kind of photo here on Juzaphoto; a fortiori I therefore appreciated your comment ;-)
Thank you very much and have a good weekend :-)
