Interesting interweaving of the roost, but even more interesting is the beautiful butterfly you portrayed.

Sorry if I allow myself, but f/14 for a stack is not useless? Then there are some floor jumps on the roost that with a few more frames could be optimized. For the rest beautiful composition and excellent rendering on the subject. Congratulations Martius

Thanks to everyone for the interventions and thanks to MarsCr for the question that allows me to clarify how this photo was born. I state that it was a slightly windy morning. If the wind allows me I always take some photos with a diaphragm closed enough to take advantage of a single frame then I move to the FS with more open apertures. With this type of fairly three-dimensional perch I tried a few shots in closed diaphragm FS to do faster and prevent the subject from moving. Not having the automatic FS the other series of more open aperture FS were too long and I had to throw it all away. The present breeze prevented me from having a decent FS result, also this image is the coupling of a series of FS for the roost with the single shot of the butterfly because the program had failed to give me a decent result. Thank you for visiting.

If it had been a melitea I would not have dent so much, but this species does not happen easily.

Apart from what was pointed out to you by Marzio (MarsCr), I can tell you that I see focus stacking with defects much more visible than yours so I congratulate you because the photo overall is very pleasant!
PS: maybe there are whites at the limit on the butterfly, but the calibration of my monitor could be unbalanced so I would emphasize the "maybe" ;-)
