Purtroppo C26 (vengono marchiate e numerate da piccole nel nido dalla protezione animali) e' l'unica sopravvissuta di una nidiata di due fratelli. Il fratello (o sorella non lo so) è morto e non si è capito bene il motivo. Le Bald Eagles sono dipendenti dai genitori per molto più tempo rispetto ad altri rapaci. In genere la madre continua a nutrirli a lungo fino a quando non sono capaci di procacciarsi il cibo da soli. Solo allora sono fuori pericolo e i genitori abbandonano i piccoli. Piccoli si fa per dire perché sono grossi come dei tacchini...... Queste sono nate in un nido costruito di fianco alla cappella nel mezzo del Mt. Pleasant Cemetery di Arlington in Massachusetts.
