con Olympus 2x MC-20, 1/1000 f/8.0, ISO 200, hand held.

Ero in spiaggia nel Sulcis (sud-ovest della Sardegna), avevo la macchina in mano e avevo appena scattato le due foto ai gabbiani che precedono questa in questo album. Un furtivo movimento sulla sabbia ad una trentina di metri da me ha attirato la mia attenzione. Taglia e aspetto erano inequivocabili: si trattava certamente di un fratino! Volevo fotografarne uno da tempo, ma non ero mai riuscito a "beccarlo" nel momento giusto. Stavolta avevo, per caso, già la macchina in mano. Visto però sia l'indole schiva di questo uccello, sia il periodo di nidificazione, non volevo assolutamente rischiare di disturbarlo. Ho quindi montato il moltiplicatore MC-20 (veramente un ottimo 2x) sul 40-150mm f/2.8 pro, per poter mantenere una distanza di sicurezza. C'era molta luce (come si può capire dal triangolo di esposizione), anche se proprio il forte sole creava qualche problema, per via dell'aria calda che si alzava dalla sabbia, deformando un po' le immagini, a discapito della nitidezza. In ogni caso, sdraiandomi in terra e con l'aiuto dei 600mm equivalenti di cui sopra, sono riuscito ad avvicinarmi abbastanza da fare alcuni scatti di mio gusto. Certo, non sarà una Canon 1DX con 600mm f/4, ma per quello che ho pagato il corredo e per il suo minimo ingombro, sono molto soddisfatto. Come al solito, consigli e pareri sono ben accetti!
