Il fiume Omo è una fonte essenziale di vita per tutte le diverse tribù etniche che vivono lungo le sue sponde. Gli uomini Karo coltivano i campi, principalmente con sorgo e mais, e sono impegnati nella pesca e persino nella caccia ai coccodrilli.
