Di buon passo sui sentieri della val Chiusella . La vallata , ormai poco frequentata e scarsamente abitata, vanta una storia millenaria , trovandosi tracce di insediamenti umani risalenti a settemila anni fa ; abitata dai Salassi , che ne sfruttarono i giacimenti minerari, fu assoggettata dai romani dopo anni di guerre con la popolazione stanziale ad opera del console Varrone Murena e a quel periodo risale la fondazione dei principali centri abitati . All'epoca di Carlo Magno , l'alta e la bassa valle furono date in feudo alla casata dei San Martino , discendenti di re Arduino . Dal 1300 al 1700 la valle fu teatro di rivolte e sommosse , or contro questo or contro quel feudatario o signorotto del momento , subì il passaggio delle truppe mercenarie e nel 1600 fu spopolata dalla peste . L'ultimo episodio storico degno di nota risale al 1821 , quando alcuni valchiusellesi parteciparono ai moti carbonari . Ora la valle , finiti gli anni turbolenti , è una verde oasi di pace , a pochi chilometri da Torino , tranquilla e appartata e ricca di angoli bellissimi .
