Nel mio viaggio dello scorso anno fatto in Sicilia, a fine luglio, una cosa che mi ha colpito è stata la presenza di numerose cave a cielo aperto di sabbia o pietrisco, alcune ben tenute e con minimo impatto visivo, altre decisamente mal tenute e alquanto stridenti con l'ambiente circostante. La sabbia e il pietrisco servono un po' come il pane e le relative cave costituiscono un male necessario che risulterebbe di tono minore e più sopportabile se l'escavazione avvenisse in modo rispettoso per l'habitat e l'ecosistema in cui insistono, un po' come ravvisabile dall'impianto di cavazione visibile dalla foto postata che ho scattato nell'ennese.
