La foto tecnicamente non trovo abbia nessun difetto, anzi e ben fatta con una post non azzardata e che sottolinea i colori e l'atmosfera di un paesaggio, quello del Po, a me molto famigliare . Forse è proprio per questa famigliarità, che l'immagine tra quelle postate, non ha attirato particolarmente la mia attenzione.
Un'altra cosa è che il vero soggetto, più che la nebbia che si intravede sullo sfondo è la siluette dell'albero in primo piano.
Spero di avere chiarito per lo meno il mio punto di vista e spero di rincontrarti nel prossimo contest che si aprirà a breve

Ho partecipato al contest perché ho pensato che avevo una foto sul tema, mentre è meno probabile che ne abbia su altri temi, ma vedrò, non si sa mai!
Tra l'altro la foto risale a quando scattavo ancora in jpeg, quindi non avevo particolari velleità di piazzamento, anzi volevo proprio trarre utili riflessioni dal confronto con gli altri, come è stato e come penso che sia in questo genere di iniziative.
Riguardo alla familiarità del paesaggio, in effetti sento il bisogno di spaziare oltre alla "cortina di nebbia" delle mie zone (sono amante del mare "bello", non questo qui vicino...), ma purtroppo non ne ho spesso la possibilità e mi devo accontentare di spremere quello che c'è qui e cercare una visione originale è piuttosto sfidante :')

In genere i temi del juracontest popolare a differenza di quello classico con giudice ( lo conosci?) sono appunto popolari, vale a dire semplici e il tema lo sceglie il vincitore da un elenco prestabilito dagli organizzatori.

Per esempio mi sono stati criticati orizzonti a metà, ma quando mi sono messa a fotografarli a 2/3 poi a casa mi mangiavo le mani perché non mi piacevano e mi mancava quel pezzo di cielo che avevo escluso, così per sicurezza ho iniziato a fare più riprese e poi poter unire gli scatti a casa.
Poi mi sono stati criticati cieli scialbi. Ma se il cielo è bianco o quasi non voglio incollarci sopra delle nuvole finte o vignettare e non per questo la foto io la vedo meno interessante.
In generale, per me una foto non deve per forza struggermi di una qualche passione; se il soggetto è poco vivace o apatico voglio che questa apatia venga trasmessa.
La provocatorietà ce l'ho più nella lingua che nelle foto, per questo dicevo "in teoria", ci devo lavorare
Poi chi vuole proprio farsi del male può leggersi un mio articolo sul Landscape porn, che potrebbe collegarsi a questo discorso definendo che la poca spettacolarità delle immagini decreti la loro impopolarità (tra l'altro avevo citato anche questo forum!):
