Ho voluto esplorare anche il mondo della danza, e ho incontrato sulla mia strada il ballerino amputato Koichi Omae, originario di Osaka. A 23 anni, quando si stava affacciando alla carriera professionale, un incidente d'auto gli ha portato via tutti i sogni. Ha subìto l'amputazione della gamba sinistra sotto il ginocchio. Con grande forza di volontà ha deciso di proseguire la carriera di ballerino, consapevole che senza l'arto avrebbe dovuto spendere molte più energie non solo nel compiere il gesto artistico, ma anche solo per camminare normalmente. A Tokyo, città non sempre a misura di persone con disabilità, è riuscito ad affermarsi come ballerino fino a ad essere invitato a danzare alla Cerimonia di Chiusura dei Giochi Paralimpici di Rio de Janeiro nel 2016.
