ll Barrio Gotico di Barcellona (o Barri Gòtic in catalano) è un quartiere ricco di fascino, assolutamente vedere. Si trova nel cuore della Ciutat Vella: un groviglio di strette stradine e piazzette medievali fra le quali si trovano alcune delle attrazioni più importanti di tutta Barcellona, oltre a un sacco di deliziosi bar, negozietti, locali. Un quartiere davvero incantevole, che ha conservato intatti i tratti medievali dell'originale nucleo romano che sorgeva qui (Barcino, che nei secoli si ingrandirà nella Barcellona che conosciamo). Il Barrio Gotico è il centro nevralgico della città da allora sino ad oggi, con un sacco di turisti di giorno e da un'animata movida notturna. Il Museu d'Història de Barcelona ospita le rovine dell'antica città romana di Barcino. Camminando nel dedalo di viuzze che lo animano, come d'incanto vi ritroverete di fronte a maestose chiese gotiche e a mura romane del primo secolo a.c. Con il calare della sera il barrio Gotico diventa un luogo misterioso; il gioco di luci ed ombre che viene a crearsi vi farà sentire i protagonisti di un film horror, molto ma molto realistico.
