Dear Loris, thank you for reporting more pages of History.
Thane because it is the duty to all those who fought and, unfortunately, also lost their lives in these wonderful mountains, today a destination for tourists.
I look at the older ones and I think that with the so-called "modern" teaching, they do not know in geography or history.
Maybe, it would be appropriate for someone to reflect and perhaps rectify this type of "teaching".
I'm my thought, certainly questionable, but if we lose our roots, the tree struggles to grow.
Thane!
A dear greeting
Franco

Great Loris.
Bravissimo.
You have produced an anthology of rare beauty where the perfection of historical feedback leaves room for the great humanity always present in your story. Good.
I allow myself to share "the questionable" (but not for me) franco's thought: it seems that the story is a fact to tell, bad and with enormous omissions, happened to others while, in fact, it is the evolution of what generated us and the rootless tree .....
A dear greeting.
Paolo

Strongly evocative image that completes your detailed and participated commentary; I find even more incisive and dramatic the image converted into splendid BN !

Congratulations Loris,
beautiful image to close this very interesting historical-photographic story of yours.
Certainly a valuable work that, through the beautiful images and the very complete captions, has made us relive tragedies of the past reminding us, once again, of how man is the stupidest of all the "animals" present on earth.
A very dear greeting,
Paolo
