Unfortunately the Red Weevil is destroying most of the Italian palm trees in my country have had to cut almost all the palm trees radically changing the landscape and I cry my heart see our streets and the bare main square where before there were centuries-old palm trees, still it is not known how they will be replaced but it will take a long time, beautiful and original photo friend my good friend , a dear greeting joseph

Is this dendrosurgery surgery? Whether it's Red Weevil infestation, as Emmegiu says? The suffering of trees, our silent and patient life companions, is also so sad.

Congratulations Luci,
a beautiful image for a sad... History.
Who knows why we always find ourselves unprepared for events that, all in all, should fall within the... "normality." :-(
It is quite inconceivable that, in 2021, parasites, bacteria and viruses can still create so much apprehension with so much damage and victims. :-o
A dear greeting,
Paolo

Beautiful shot
Althost in Abruzzo where I go in summer they had to cut all the palm trees "brag" them all except one perhaps because it is more backward towards the sea and not in line with the others
So good-hearted

Of healthy Palms, there are still few left.... also here in Ponente.
One of the few I still managed to photograph.
The image he can tell.

Unfortunately, the red weevil has done great damage here in Sicily too, beautiful your recovery that highlights a useful work and certainly not easy and risky!
An Agatha Greeting
