Charles :-D Nice selfie... :-D
The locomotive in question, on display at the Elder Museum, Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, was in service on the steam tramway of Las Palmas in the late 1800s and was a Couillet 790/1885 (type: 020T) with a "wide" gauge of 1674 mm. and registered with no. 020-207 (ex-RENFE 020-0235, ex-MZA 605)

For a moment I confused the locomotive with the one in Madrid, at the entrance of the Delicias museum: a two-axis Couillet like this one, always of MZA origin. I did not know that the Las Palomas steam tramway was as wide-gauge as the continental network: you can see that it was made from second-hand material from the Iberian Peninsula.

Here, things were different: the steam tram of Gran Canaria was metric gauge, the 020 was brought to the island recently, just to give an idea of the steam. Here the article in English: eng.canaria.guide/tranvia-de-las-palmas-the-story-of-a-canarian-tram/

Carlo, Mario, Giuliano, thank you very much for the welcome passage. I am completely ignorant on the subject (not only in this :-D) and I am literally impressed by your culture, especially that of Carlo! I'm more and more of the idea that you have to write, think about it! ;-)
I'm at all and have a good evening.
Carlo

My information was partially incorrect :-o The locomotive was actually transported there only for the benefit of the museum, and the tramway was, yes, steam but was driven by other means, as Giuliano more properly pointed out :-)
Ciao, Carlo
