E 656 (Caiman) sent on January 22, 2021 (19:08) by Carlo Alfonso. 30 comments, 692 views. [retina]

, 1/30 f/8.0, ISO 100, hand held. Benevento, Italy.

Beautiful captions, great difficulty: this supports even more beautiful photography. What a great machine the powerful and reliable 656! Hello. Mario.

Beautiful shot, congratulations! I have to say that in analog it was more difficult to photograph things in fast motion than with today's digital. The Caimano E 656 and the turtle E 444 remind me of my interminable youth trips between Sicily and Turin, and vice versa for study reasons first and family afterwards. How many good memories..... :-o hello Beppe

Beppe, thank you, both for the visit and for the sharing, as well as for the appreciation of this old analog shot recovered by craft means :-)
Cyo and good weekend :-)

If the 668 was a piece of history on the unelectrified lines, the caiman was on those with wire !! I renew the compliments for photos and images. Hello

Stefano is right, everything in the manual was another story. This seems even more difficult to me than those made 28-85.

:-D ;-)
description of what it meant to shoot :-D A universe of a long time ago, and yet it could be done! Today you would have auto-iso, car focus in tracking mode, and maybe gps telling you where the train is :-D :-) :-D

Fabio :-D yet with AF (continuous or tracking), fast times (sports), ISO cars and stabilizer I managed to get more photos of moving trains wrong than I did when I was doing everything by hand :-D
I'm going to trust too much of the too many "cars" of digital equipment... often it is precisely the AF that is not adequate, especially with trains that are fast approaching or moving quickly away and, sometimes, it is the exposure (I have to decide once and for all to fix it in manual mode).... basically I have to do as I used to and pretend I don't have all those automatisms that, in the end, complicate simple things :-D
