at 16mm, 1/500 f/7.1, ISO 100, hand held. Monte Piana, Italy.

Dear Loris, I read the story all in one breath; as I read I was trying to imagine the scenes, actions and heavy artillery shells rumbleding.
Oggi, it is easy to imagine sitting comfortably and for those who have visited those places it seems unthinkable that someone has suffered them so that you can enjoy the spectacle that the Dolomites offer.
How strange life is.
Thane Loris for your work which is memory is part of Our land.
A dear greeting
Franco

Loris, you're great! :-) I have no other words to tell you that these beautiful photos of you, combined with your detailed historical accounts, are extraordinary, and also moving, documents of events unknown to most and that, beyond the purely war and tactical aspects, involved a generation of men, lives, sensitivities, feelings :-)
Ciao, Carlo

Dear Loris, looking at your photos, places of beauty and charm appear to me: the most beautiful mountains in Italy.
With your stories about war, these places dress in a different meaning , not only of beauty, but
s of great suffering for those... men-boys who faced war.
Tantissimi congratulations on this great job you are doing!
Ciao
Gaet.
