La Chiesetta di San Giuseppe è posta nell'omonima frazione del Comune di Desio (MB). La frazione di San Giuseppe era la residenza di campagna dei nobili Buttafava che possedevano una villa con un bel parco attorniata dall'omonima chiesetta e da delle cascine tipicamente lombarde. La frazione e gli edifici che la compongono, non hanno subito negli anni passati interventi edilizi invasivi o distruttivi, cosa piuttosto rara nel territorio brianzolo. Purtroppo estinta la famiglia dei Buttafava, il borgo è stato oggetto di varie vendite, ed una ventina di anni fa, i nuovi proprietari hanno sfrattato le poche famiglie che occupavano le tipiche case a ringhiera. Purtroppo se si escludono gli interventi di manutenzione della Villa e della Chiesetta, il resto degli edifici rurali è in uno stato di abbandono e degrado con diffusi crolli.
