Si sa, giunti a novembre, dopo i Santi, le giornate si accorciano a vista d'occhio mentre cresce nei nostri cuori la malinconia per la bella stagione trascorsa troppo in fretta. S'accresce ancor di più la tristezza nel constatare che siamo ripiombati nelle stesse condizioni di marzo. Già, di marzo: vi ricordate? Quando abbiamo dovuto cancellare escursioni, incontri, gite, e ci siamo persi la stagione della raccolta dei palchi di cervo, le arene dei forcelli, il canto delle civette a causa del virus. Abbiamo rinunciato, proponendo scatti di altre stagioni, sperando che la prossima di stagione sarebbe andata meglio. Ma adesso siamo a novembre e quel po' di tristezza stagionale che di solito combattevo spingendo le escursioni oltre i limiti del bosco, alla ricerca delle pernici o della lepre o dell'ermellino finalmente bianchi, prima che fosse troppa la copertura di neve ad ostacolare piani e movimenti, oggi si presenta sotto forma di angoscia ancor più pesante e beffarda: bloccato in casa, ancora a causa di 'sto maledetto virus, osservo impotente la stagione proseguire la sua corsa tra giornate splendide e temperature primaverili, la Natura indossare la sua magica veste autunnale e la montagna che pare attendere. “ Aspetti me???” … Direi di si, visto che tutto intorno a me non vedo che boschi, creste, praterie e canaloni che la mia esperienza sa essere casa di camosci, stambecchi, lepri ed ermellini. Alla finestra, con lo sguardo fisso verso quei luoghi e quei colori, smetto di inseguire le occasioni che andranno perse e che nessuno ci restituirà. Mi rivolgo alle stagioni passate, stagioni più benevoli che tanto mi hanno concesso e lascio che ancora una volta, quella mia lepre mi trascini fuori dalla gelida ombra, verso una più calda luce, augurio di speranza.
