Fu costruito in base al progetto di padre Giovanni Battista Embriaco nel 1867 e venne presentato all'Esposizione Universale di Parigi. L'Orologio conta quattro quadranti. Il suo funzionamento è garantito dal getto d'acqua sottostante che mette in moto il pendolo, caricando così il suo movimento e, con esso, anche la suoneria mediante il riempimento alternato di due bacinelle. L'ambientazione dell'Orologio, invece, avvenuta nel 1873, fu curata da Gioacchino Ersoch, che lo inserì in una piccola torre situata in un isolotto al centro di un laghetto con decorazioni lignee in stile rurale che rievocano la foresta.
