A few years ago I visited the nearby Valley of Macugnaga, where there are other splendid testimonies of the life of the walsers and I was thrilled, now this beautiful series of shots of yours revives my curiosity and the hope of being able to visit this beautiful area again when all the mess we are experiencing will definitely be behind me.
Compliments for how you carried out the theme and a dear greeting
Silvano

Many thanks Silvano for the very welcome comment !
For your future planning of the visit to the area inhabited by the Walser, all around Monte Rosa, the place where you find the most testimonies is certainly Alagna Valsesia where there is also a museum in the hamlet of Pedemonte and from where, doing some scarpinata or some long walk, you can reach some villages (such as those you find in these photos of mine) consisting only of walser houses. In Alagna there is still someone (but you count them on the fingers of one hand) who still speaks the old Walser language.
A dear greeting!
Massimo :-)

Dear Barbara, I must tell you the truth: I expected your reproach! It was not a question of ill will, but simply of a decision made, with friends, at the last moment, the evening before Thursday 1 September, the day of our excursion in Val d'Otro.
Howees your "injunction" not to repeat such a "rascal" will be taken into account and you will see that it will not repeat !
A great thank you for your very welcome comment and a dear greeting !
Massimo :-)
