In realtà si tratta del faro 'Voltiano' ma abitualmente lo chiamiamo faro di Brunate, dal nome della località dove sorge. A differenza dei fari tradizionali non si trova nelle immediate vicinanze della costa ma addirittura in cima ad un monte di 900m: fu costruito nel 1927, infatti, per far si che gli idrovolanti che atterravano sul lago non si schiantassero sul monte. Alto 29m, costituisce comunque un buon punto cospicuo anche per la navigazione, di notte diffonde una luce alternativamente bianca, rossa e verde. Scatto al volo per catturare la forte luce laterale del tramonto, messa in risalto dallo sfondo scuro delle nuvole cariche di pioggia di questi giorni. Olympus 40-150mm@150
