Unfortunately the settings were wrong, overexposed. It happened there while I was busy following another bird in flight with little light, as, caught in the heat, I thought only of the green woodpecker forgetting the rest :-D
To make the photo cute I maybe uploaded too much color :-)

Hi Emiliano, personally, with the D500 I only shoot by activating either mode A or mode S (as needed), associated with automatic ISOs framed by an interval. I abandoned M mode because like you, going from light to shade in 1 second is not easy. ;-)
