La tribù dei Karo, che vive lungo le sponde del Lower Omo River, sono innegabilmente un gruppo artistico per natura. Tra le altre cose, i Karo sono noti per le loro complesse e seducenti pitture del corpo e del viso. Adoperano solo cose donate dalla natura, come dei minerali gialli, del gesso bianco,, minerali di ferro e carbone e decorano le loro teste con delle stupende piume che simboleggiano coraggio.
