Scatto singolo con leggero crop. Nulla a che vedere con le tantissime foto di notevole qualità realizzate con astroinseguitori e somma di vari scatti e per le quali provo discreta invidia..Non pensavo però che con uno scatto singolo si riuscisse a catturare così la coda di ioni blu, cosa possibile solo grazie all'altitudine e al buio sottostante. Lo scatto è stato realizzato la sera del 18 luglio intorno alle 23.30 a 2250 metri di altitudine presso le 5 Torri, in uno dei pochi momenti in cui si è aperto uno scorcio di cielo senza nuvole. La cometa era al di sopra delle cime della Forcella Gasser de Pot, tra il Lagazuoi e la Tofana de Rozes. Anche a occhio nudo era molto ben visibile, in particolare la sua lunga coda, cosa che purtroppo non era possibile apprezzare in questo modo dalla pianura padana; ho fatto un tentativo pochi giorni dopo anche presso il Passo del Lupo (Monte Cimone) a circa 1500 metri, ma la sua visibilità era notevolmente peggiore, probabilmente anche per la presenza della luna in fase crescente.
