Nelle colline che sovrastano il paese di Rovato è ben visibile il complesso conventuale della SS. Annunciata, identificabile anche grazie alle lunga struttura a logge che lo caratterizza. Il convento si raggiunge grazie ad una ripida strada acciottolata che conduce davanti alla chiesa. Un grande pronao a tre arcate a tutto sesto si appoggia alla facciata principale, tipicamente seicentesca, che si conclude a capanna con grande finestrone centrale e tre pinnacoli che si innalzano dalla copertura. Dal lato nord fuoriesce il campanile ancora quattrocentesco e l'abside poligonale, entrambi rifiniti nel sottogronda con preziosi archetti pensili in laterizio; su questo lato anche il pronao conserva ancora l'arco ad ogiva della primitiva struttura. L'interno mostra la navata unica con i sei altari laterali e il presbiterio, ancora originario, arricchito da preziosi affreschi. Notevole l'Annunciazione di Girolamo Romanino, inserita nella parete di fondo. Conservati solo in alcune parti gli affreschi delle pareti, realizzati alla fine del XV secolo, come una Madonna in trono con Bambino e un S. Sebastiano, attribuito da alcuni studiosi ad Alvise Vivarini e da altri ad un allievo del Mantegna. Preziosi anche i dipinti, salvaguardati durante l'intervento barocco, nei sottarchi dei primi due altari della parete sinistra, raffiguranti i profeti minori e le sibille di Liberale da Verona. L'unico chiostro, a pianta rettangolare, è rimasto integro solo nella parte inferiore con pregevoli colonne, perfettamente preservate nel tempo, come le strutture del convento che per buona parte hanno mantenuto gli stilemi tardo quattrocenteschi, come il portico della costruzione addossata al fronte principale della chiesa. Degne di rilievo, le grandi logge del lato meridionale del convento che si sviluppano, su tutta la lunghezza del prospetto, per ben tre piani con quelle di base tamponate.
