Poco prima della chiusura per Coronavirus, ho avuto modo di visitare questa piccola ma bella chiesa in quel di Bereguardo (Pavia). Ecco sommariamente qualche notizia: La Chiesa Parrocchiale, dedicata a S. Antonio Abate, sorge sull'area un tempo occupata da una cappella fatta costruire dai Visconti nel 1425. L'edificio attuale fu innalzato attorno al 1762, ha pianta a croce greco-latina sovrastata da una bella cupola ottagonale. La facciata è in mattoni nudi e si contrappone all'interno riccamente decorato in stile baroccheggiante, dove risalta il pulpito scolpito in legno con baldacchino. A destra dell'altare maggiore si apre la cappella dedicata alla Madonna del Rosario, mentre i due altari minori, con belle decorazioni in stucco, sono dedicati uno ai Santi Mauro Abate e Bernardino da Feltre e l'altro a S. Rocco, patrono del paese. La chiesa è sovrastata da un campanile alto più di 40 metri con cupola bizantineggiante. da Navigli.it Grazie, come sempre, a tutti gli amici e le amiche che lasceranno un segno del loro gradito passaggio.
