Great colors and detail. It seems strange to me this magnification, did you apply a cutout ? Did you use extension tubes? extender?. Hello, Lauro

Excellent colors and detail. This enlargement seems strange to me, have you applied a clipping? did you use extension tubes? an extender ?. Hi, Lauro

MrGreenHello Elleemme!

I used only the lens (105mm macro lens), camera (D5300), flash and tripod. The flash was mounted to a magic arm for optimal placement of the light. No extension tubes or extenders were used. Cropping was made less to than 10%. You are seeing 90% of the original image. Colours were boosted in LightRoom.

I wanted the iris to be the dominant feature - I spent a long time trying to get the angle of the light correct. Many times there were distracting reflections. Even in the final image you can see the light reflection on the outside of the eye.

By the way, this is my own eye. I was very blind by the end of the session Eeeek!!! MrGreen
