La meravigliosa fontana Pretoria di Palermo, detta della vergogna vuoi, secondo una tesi, per la nudità esplicita delle statue, vuoi, secondo altra tesi, per il costo spropositato affrontato dalle casse della città per farla portare pezzo pezzo da Firenze a Palermo. Il Bacco in primo piano, che pare leggermente fuori baricentro in avanti, da questo punto di ripresa conferisce un dinamismo incredibile a tutta la fontana.
