Il disastro aereo di Puntaraisi del Dicembre 1978 e' stato soppiantato nella memoria collettiva dal mistero di Ustica, ben più mediatico. In realtà fu una vera e propria tragedia in cui morirono 108 persone. Fino a poco tempo fa' la carcassa dell' aereo era ben visibile all' ingresso di Palermo dall' autostrada, posta su un cumulo di rottami, da uno sfasciacarrozze. Nessun rispetto per il carico di dolore che si portava dietro. Il monumento in memoria sorge in un luogo quasi nascosto ed abbandonato. Lo conoscono solamente i sub, che li vanno a pesca e qualche familiare delle vittime.
