Minor Marangon. ISO 25,600. sent on January 06, 2020 (12:12) by Soulkeeper. 10 comments, 334 views. [retina]

con Nikon TC-14E II, ISO 25600,

Condizioni di luce "impossibili", praticamente quasi buio. E' solo un test per la D800 e...per me nella post produzione. Purtroppo la resa cromatica é quella che è ma più di così non si poteva fare. Consigli e critiche sempre accettati. Grazie.

The shot is more than valid, and the D800 holds in a simply incredible way even massive postproductions starting from titanic iso (with Topaz Denoise or the "prime" denoise of DxO I have so many useful shots between 8000 and 12800 - I do not go further - that seem taken at 1/10 or 1/15 of the Iso... ).

I absolutely agree with you Claudio, with the D800 you can push in certain conditions up to 12,800 iso. With Topaz and a good post you can get very very good results. It must be said that however Nikon did an excellent job on sensors (Sony), better than Sony itself, already years ago! I bought my D800 in 2012 and it's still very good today despite a geological era from a computer point of view.
Thank you for your contribution, Claudio.
A greeting.
Mark.

Look you anticipated me, I was just seeing the differences in the tightness of the d800 vs d850 and up to 25600 sincerely if then you reduce them to 24 Mpx are very few (I use dxoplab) and I have to say that it makes you think a lot about the fact that the technological leap in single-shot quality has changed very little

Absolutely agree with you. The sensors have improved little because now the technology they adopt is at the limit, and we take into account that those that mount Nikon were already space years ago! Then the Nikon electronics must be said is excellent, in fact the Sony sensors gave better results with that Nikon than with that Sony, which says it all. The steps forward lie precisely in electronics.
Thotho, it is obvious that the AF and the display meter have improved on the new models, but the D800 has -3EV of AF sensitivities, such as the D850, unlike the D810 that had -2EV. With mine I took pictures literally in the dark and with a car now 8 years old is not little. It was and is a great car, dated, but great machine remains.
A greeting and thank you for giving your opinion.
Marco.
