La piscina naturale di Marina Serra
Un luogo ancora non troppo preso di mira dalle folle di turisti, per via della tranquillità che la caratterizza e la discrezione del posto, fuori dai circuiti modaioli di alcune altre città salentine in estate, è Marina Serra, sul versante adriatico.
Una marina che rientra nel territorio di Tricase e che è caratterizzata da una costa in cui la scogliera si declina in anfratti e insenature paradisiache, con forme che ricordano quasi antichi castelli.
Ci sono luoghi che, una volta scoperti, possono diventare come cura per l'anima e Marina Serra è senza dubbio uno di quelli. Le acque della piscina naturale, sono accolte a mo' di culla da un'insenatura che deriva da una vecchia cava, e raggiungerla per un tuffo significa attraversare archi e scalini in pietra prima di immergersi. Le scogliere che la avvolgono, formano una sorta di fortificazione naturale, per via della regolarità che ne caratterizza i lati squadrati, mentre quelli coperti dall'acqua, fungono da veri e propri sedili in cui accomodarsi se ci si vuole bagnare pian piano. Il fondale è basso e consente ai bambini di divertirsi in tutta sicurezza, tra schizzi e piccoli tuffi.
