Wadi Rum Station sent on June 22, 2019 (12:57) by SimoneOssola. 16 comments, 398 views. [retina]

at 24mm, 1/1600 f/4.0, ISO 200, hand held. Wadi Rum desert, Jordan.

Pareri e critiche sempre graditi. #Trasporti #Treno #hdr

Hello Elio thank you for the visit and the comment, we found it coming from Petra, near the entrance of the Wadi before going to the tented camp.

The locomotive is actually the one used in the film "Lawrence of Arabia", which was shot in Wadi Rum. In addition to the locomotive there are wagons, one of which still bears the machine gun supports of Turkish soldiers who defended themselves in the film from the attacks of Lawrence and his Arab guerrillas. In any case, the locomotive is not of the type used in The First World War but is much more recent.
