Il 6 giugno, in Normandia, piove sempre….almeno per un'ora: è tradizione. Il vento gonfia le bandiere appese alle finestre e ai cigli della strada, muove le foglie della fitta vegetazione e accarezza le mucche al pascolo che, stupite, osservano centinaia e centinaia di strani veicoli, passare per strade solitamente poco più che deserte. Il 6 giugno, in Normandia, il colore dominante è il verde… meglio se verde oliva…. Un'atmosfera quasi magica fa si che migliaia di persone si ritrovino per qualcosa di straordinario: non importa da che parte del mondo tu venga. In quel momento, in quel giorno, la cosa per te importante è essere li….in quel posto, su quelle spiagge. Le stesse spiagge che 75 anni fa hanno visto 5000 navi scaricare quei pochi novantenni che abbiamo ancora la fortuna di incontrare nella nostra vita; con gli occhi lucidi di emozione.
