ISO 200, tripod.

44 stacked natural light exposures at ISO 200 of a Graphosoma lineatum bug. Perspective is a little bit unusual but I think it works. :) Photographed on 06.05.2012. Equipment used: Canon EOS 5D Mark II, reversed Rodenstock APO-Rodagon-D 75/4.5 lens on Nikon PB-6 bellows. #Hemiptera #Rhynchota

Stated otherwise: all the photos are focus stacked with Zerene Stacker; all are taken in the field; only natural backgrounds; all are living insects.

Thanks in advance for you comments, criticism and suggestions. Sorriso

Really an amazing job. But tell me this is a fusion of multiple images right? Congratulations for your patience, on live animals is not easy at all. Compliments.

Thanks all for the comments!

Pier: yes, a little bit more contrast wouldn't hurt, I think. Sorriso

Francesco: yes, it's a stack - multiple merge of exposures. I photograph insects early in the morning when they are more cooperative. ;-)

Excellent detail and colours Cristian, like the low point of view that reveals the contrasting pattern to the stripes on the upper side, shame we don't get these in the UK. Sorriso
