Vettura costruita in soli 150 esemplari e solo in versione Roadster nel triennio 2007-09. Equipaggiata con un motore V8 di 5439 cm3 dotato di compressore volumetrico erogante 650 cavalli poteva raggiungere una velocità superiore ai 330 chilometri orari. Da 0 a 200 Km/h in circa 10 secondi e da 0 a 300 Km/h in 28 secondi. Non era previsto un tettuccio rigido ripiegabile come protezione per le intemperie e per la brutta stagione ma solamente una normalissima capote ripiegabile in tela. Il suo prezzo di acquisto era di poco superiore ai 530 mila euro mentre nel 2018 la sua quotazione sull'usato aveva già oltrepassato la cifra di un milione e 250 mila euro. La sigla SLR sta per Sport, Leicht e Renner in tedesco ... mentre in inglese sarebbe Sport, Light (leggerezza) e Racing.
