In inverno, e in particolare durante le feste di fine anno, nel centro storico di Roma è facilissimo incontrare i venditori di caldarroste che le offrono (a prezzi salatissimi!!!) in cartocci per poterle gustare passeggiando. Un classico dello street food e della tradizione romana anche se non più gestito da italiani salvo rarissime eccezioni.
