La Ferrari 458 fu prodotta dal 2009 al 2015. Inizialmente solo nella versione Coupé e denominata 458 Italia... nel 2011 le venne affiancata la versione Spyder... questa nella fotografia. Ancora... nel 2013... videro la luce i modelli Speciale e Speciale A (versione Barchetta della Speciale). La 458 fu costruita su un telaio in lega di alluminio... adottando soluzioni derivate dalla tecnologia aerospaziale ed alla sua messa a punto collaborò l'indimenticato campione Michael Schumacher. Le versioni Italia e Spider adottavano un motore di 4495 cm3 con 8 cilindri a V di 90° (da qui la sigla 458) che erogava 570 cavalli facendo raggiungere alla Spider i 320 chilometri orari. Ne furono prodotte in versione Challenge per le competizioni e pure, nel 2012, una versione in un unico esemplare... e denominata Ferrari SP12 EC... che fu approntata su richiesta del noto chitarrista inglese Eric Clapton.
