The watchtower was erected probably in the fourteenth century or at the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries, on the orders of the Polish king, Casimir the Great or the Silesian prince Władysław Opolczyk. Together with the Straznica Suliszowice it supported - as an extended flank - the defensive castle Ostr??nik. In the fifteenth century, it was the seat of the knight-robber Nicholas Kornicza, called "Siestrzencem." According to legend, the treasures looted by him were hidden in inaccessible rock crevices or in the castle well. #Sunrise#Landscape#Jura#Rocks
