Foto scattata a Coriano, dove si trova "l'installazione" dedicata al Sic. Ogni Domenica all'imbrunire una gigantesca fiamma di tre metri si accende per 58 secondi. Dalla Biografia del Sic• Gioie e dolori. Con la sua moto correva come un fulmine in pista, sempre con il gas al massimo, come tutti i suoi più illustri colleghi ed avversari. Tutti lo potevano riconoscere, senza casco, per quella sua irriverente folta e riccia capigliatura. Ma se c'era una caratteristica che lo faceva spiccare in mezzo a tutti, era proprio la simpatia, la grande amicizia che dimostrava con chiunque, fino ad arrivare a bucare radio e teleschermi per trasmetterla via etere. Ecco perché quando se n'è andato, in un tragico incidente occorso in gara il 23 ottobre 2011, ha lasciato sgomenti non solo colleghi e amici, ma anche ogni fan e ogni persona che l'aveva conosciuto attraverso i media. La sua ultima avventura in sella è stata quella di Sepang, circuito della Malesia che solo tre anni prima gli aveva regalato il titolo mondiale in classe 250. Oggi sono 7 anni che ci sei venuto a mancare, il nostro cuore batte ancora per te Campione, ovunque tu sia.
