Ponte dei saraceni di epoca pre normanna . Qui le acque del Simeto, data la particolarita' del letto basaltico, scorrono in modo irruento e vorticoso creando particolari forme nell'alveo chiamate "forre" . #Sicilia #Ponti #Simeto #Clouds #Forre #Fiumi #Basalto #Bridges #Acqua

Good in the clouds and bridge. Good in the water. But what are the rocks doing? They are asleep. Maybe you need to wake the rocks up then the image will be 100%.

Thank you for your comment Nico. But, believe me.. I did not understand your mention with the rocks. Why do I have to wake them? Pls, try to be more clear. I will much appreciate it. ;-)

Salvo,

When I say the rocks are asleep I want to express that the rocks need to come alive too. The rocks below the golden material of the bridge and the running water. I think they were already in shade and are 'asleep' - low detail and low contrast. I can imagine two ways to achieve this - shoot when the light is a bit higher and the rocks get more lively colour from sun lights or maybe shoot after rain and get the rocks alive by using the reflections on wet material. Forgive me, if I say something naive or not adequate, as I am almost completely new to photography.

Nico... OK now I have CPT. The rocks in your opinion are little contralow and lackluster compared to the scene. Maybe.... I didn't use a lot of posts. But that they are devoid of detail seems a bit excessive, believe me. Thanks anyway for the ride.

Yes. I am very new to all visual things. Reading, shooting, thinking, learning, then shooting again. Trying to learn. I think my screen maybe is not all too good maybe I want a better laptop now. I only have a very basic 11 inch netbook. I can see bigger screens from better manufacturers make a huge difference in how the image comes across! Very best, nico
