La Ferrari "500 TRC" del 1957 (prodotta in soli 19 esemplari) era un modello decisamente atipico. Realizzata solo per le competizioni, non montava il tradizionale e leggendario motore V12 progettato da Gioacchino Colombo ma un 4 cilindri in linea di soli 2 litri di cilindrata e una potenza di circa 180 CV (comunque notevole per l'epoca).
