Questo gioiello made in Leica invece è già praticamente perfetto a f1,4.

Very beautiful.

The optical is true, it is excellent. Reference m43, at least until Olympus will not pull out his 12mm f1.2 Pro.

@ Alessandro: thank you! It was a situation where, really, I did not know which way to aim the camera, because incredible things were happening around and around me. From this image could be cropped three or four, all equally incredible!
@ Centauro: I'm really curious about 12 f1,2, should be usable at TA, would have made a masterpiece. The only "defect": for this type of shooting, 12 mm is narrow. The Laowa 7.5 proved to be very suitable, although f2.0 is not a sufficient diaphragm with the aurorae, in my opinion

Here you touch a sore button of the m43 even at 20Mpx: the pushed crop is not its forte. And the high res is not always feasible, maybe even in this case I guess (the scene changes).

@Centauro: consider that the image I published has a resolution of 3MPx and is an overview. Maybe as soon as I have time I will publish the crop of the volcano with the column of light, which seems interesting to me

Yes, I would be very pleased. The crop pushed always know of fallback on any system but with the m43 obviously you suffer more.

Aurora beautiful and well shot that I was not lucky enough to see so extensive (we stopped at 3). I like the composition a lot and also the colors appear very natural. Compliments.

Out of curiosity, where was it taken? In the Reykianes peninsula?

A greeting

Alberto

The photo is a true masterpiece. Compliments. But I am disappointed by the choice of the frame .. really too heavy for such a delicate photo. I would love to see it without it, I think it earns ... and not a little. Greetings and congratulations again.

@Luca: your comment on the frame makes perfect sense, I usually don't use frames but I thought something was missing and I turned so:-D how pro put the Centaur, I'll try to post a crop without frame just forward me some time!

Greetings to all!

Amazing shot in a landscape as wonderful as Iceland, with the Aurora Northern background. I envy you very much this optics, my spite a little ' exsa for me.
Anyway I have seen your other shots from Iceland and they are just great, congratulations. I hope to go there soon :-)

Thanks David :-)
I confess that I made an effort to buy it, but now I keep it nice tight! The first time I went to Iceland I had the Samyang 7.5 F3, 5 and the Samyang 12 F2,0. And I assure you that I have regretted not having more generous aperlets, as far as seen in the night sky. Then I upgraded both focal lengths to the Laowa 7.5 F2,0 and to the Pana 12 F1, 4. The latter is really a bomb and I guarantee that at full aperture it is more than sharp from corner to corner; Besides very little sticker to have such a diaphragm: For me it's worth all the money it costs. It is not easy to find used, but a long time ago a friend sold one to €850.
Anyway, if you go to Iceland, trip that of course recommend, I recommend to have optics at least F2,0, if you want to photograph Aurore with satisfaction.
Greetings!
