La più interessante ed appariscente attrattiva della città vecchia di Rodi è la medievale Via dei Cavalieri (Odos Ippoton), sviluppata tra il Palazzo del Gran Maestro e il porto. Costruita nel XIV secolo, in stile gotico, la strada lastricata è fiancheggiata dalle Locande dei Cavalieri di San Giovanni, un tempo utilizzate come luoghi d'incontro per i Cavalieri e luoghi di soggiorno per i dignitari in visita. Oggi le locande ospitano i consolati e gli uffici delle ambasciate estere. Bella e interessante Rodi, isola e città al confine tra due mondi e due culture, quello occidentale e greco-ortodosso e quello orientale e musulmano. Perciò, è piena di contrasti e allo stesso tempo affascinante. Consiglio di visitarla, non ve ne pentirete.
