A Gündoğdu Square, sul lungomare, al centro della piazza, c'è questo monumento che troneggia e che rappresenta simbolicamente un “albero” “piantato” a commemorazione dell'ottantesimo anno della Repubblica Turca. La sua mole è davvero imponente e colpisce per l'enorme scultura posizionata al suo apice che rappresenta la “cavalcata” del popolo turco verso la libertà e l'autodeterminazione.
