Ospite d'onore, seduto al centro, il parmense Leone della Folgore Mario Guerra, 97 anni. Dopo aver combattuto ed essere ferito ad El Alamein... il 19 aprile 1945 come componente del 2° Battaglione del 183° Reggimento Paracadutisti "Nembo"... partecipò al combattimento di Case Grizzano nei pressi di Castel San Pietro Terme (Bo) contro i paracadutisti tedeschi della 1° Divisione Fallschirmjagerdivision detti “Grune Teufel”…"Diavoli Verdi" dal colore delle divise indossate sopra quelle blu della Luftwaffe che erano reduci dalla battaglia di Cassino. Al comando del tenente colonnello Giuseppe Izzo... e dopo violenti scontri... i nostri paracadutisti conquistarono il caposaldo di Case Grizzano che rappresentava il punto di riferimento del sistema di difesa tedesco posto a protezione di Bologna... che a seguito di ciò venne poi liberata dagli alleati. A coronamento di questa vittoria la bandiera del reggimento "Nembo" fu insignita della medaglia d'argento al valor militare ed al tenente colonnello Izzo... che era stato gravemente ferito... fu conferita la Distinguished Service Cross: questo è l'unico caso in cui tale riconoscimento statunitense è stato conferito ad un militare italiano.
