Yes, the official footpath is under water. You cannot change route or climb over the barbed wire fences. But I knew my intended route and could not change it. (I had to tiptoe on the very edge, getting scratched by wire and thorns)
Yes, I possibly should have changed to my wider 18-140mm lens, but having just used the 120-400mm, and already seeing targets for the 400mm just up the hill, I just concentrated on walking. I had also walked along a narrow road for over a km, with mainly delivery vans speeding past (I have to step off the road and into the mud, not them!) and once on the natural paths and tracks and safely away from traffic, you feel liberated.
But some extensive editing has provided a nice image in black and white, in my opinion. |
