I tried it with the rack head on the Manfrotto 055xProb and I had no problem of stability with both D4s and D810 despite the wind that pulled Lagazuoi, especially in the morning, was very strong. I have to redo the test with the ball head. Probably the problems are felt more with entrylevel machine bodies but frankly I have not had the slightest sting of stability. The only thing I do not like about the lens is the coating of Sigma that is scratched / scratched just to look at it. Thank you for the reply. I am considering such a lens and are more likely to go for the Tamron 100-400mm as at least you can get a tripod ring, as an extra and at a price, but at least you can. My lighter 190 CF (but heavy duty head) is less likely to cope. I like the ability to turn to vertical easily with such, as I can with my current 70-200mm f2.8 and 120-400mm Sigmas. |
