Ogni anno, la natura ci sorprende con i suoi molteplici colori dove il rosso, l'arancio e il giallo la fanno da padroni. In provincia di Macerata, esiste un luogo che in Autunno si trasforma e diventa magico e surreale. Il suo nome che deriva dal latino "campum faitum" o meglio "campo di faggi" è CANFAITO. Esiste una riserva naturale regionale compresa tra il monte San Vicino e il monte Canfaito, al suo interno è racchiuso un altopiano situato a circa 1000 mt di altezza che purtroppo o per fortuna pochi conoscono. Lo spettacolo che si presenta al visitatore è unico, colori da fiabeschi e faggi a perdita d'occhio, di cui alcuni con dimensioni davvero notevoli. Ci sono 2 faggi che hanno superato i 500 anni, uno i 400 anni e gli altri da 200 anni in giù. Il re indiscusso di Canfaito è un faggio datato più di 500 anni è il faggio più antico e grande delle Marche ed è stato inserito tra i 300 alberi monumentali d'Italia.
