The Fisherman and The Fireworks. sent on October 02, 2017 (14:29) by Giuseppe.Cristofalo. 36 comments, 1147 views. [retina]

, tripod. Palermo, Italy.

Really beautiful, sinned maybe for the times that burned here and the fires .. I would honestly sacrifice most of the fires to concentrate on the fisherman who, in my opinion, is lost in the midst of all those lights .. (personally, I noticed immediately, but in my opinion not everyone will see it at the first shot) if I could catch the fisherman in the foreground concentrating you so more on him you would have brought home a superb shot! A real pity, nothing to take away from this photo anyway.

Another great test. Impressed by the boat. Maybe a little quicker time would have avoided burning some fires.

the composition was specially designed in this way kevin.
I would not be able to catch the fisherman because:
I would cut the fires
I was already 200mm.
making it appear small in front of such an immensely spectacular was a wanted and desired thing.
if you do not like it I notice it.

the fires are not burnt, or at least the salient parts. is something I'm very careful about PP.
here the photo with absolute black (blue) and white whites (red) //postimg.org/image/3yq6ec5c1n/]

Beautiful contrast between the fireworks and the boat. Technically what do I have to say? you are a monster by now! At the level of compo for me it's perfect, the "cut" fires would not make sense and would be annoying.
Only one title in the title: on FB, if I did not make the photo titled "privileged viewer": in my opinion it is more suitable for the photo.

You know that I like ... printed in medium / large format becomes a bomb, then hanging so that the ossuary guard the fires and the fisherman a little lower than the look .... unfortunately in digital format and up these vertical sizes do not make the most of ...
But it is a great compliment

Peppe if I can make a critic I would have left a bit of space down ;-)
That said, I congratulate you for another beautiful photo.

And here I can tell you, "ask Andrea 8-), who surely knows about fireworks.
It's too tight, so badly composed (flat), too bright, the white I think is badly balanced.
It's not easy to make these photographs and above all, if not set, they're pretty boring.
Do not be discouraged, remember your first stars and look at where you are ;-)

Mark in these all the choices, from the wb, to the composition, to the purpose used, were wanted by me.
If I had used a wide angle and the perspective had been flat, the fisherman's boat would have been a great few pixels.
I was not interested in setting the shot, being the protagonists of the photo the fisherman and him
Fireworks .
Then my picture is flat, boring etcetc patience. I accept the criticism I am trying to improve

Peppe, it is clear that it is what he has sent to me, obviously that does not necessarily have to be the right thing, you're the one who made the photo and you're the one you have to appreciate it most ;-)
Obviously not everyone can please, but I always try to be honest in my comments.
Cmq for the boat I agree, you made the right choice.
But it does not change the opinion for the rest of the shot :-D
