La casa automobilistica Lancia venne fondata a Torino da Vincenzo Lancia nel 1906… per poi entrare a far parte del Gruppo Fiat nel 1969… ed infine di FCA nel 2009. La Lancia Lambda venne costruita in 9 Serie dal 1923 al 1931 in diversi allestimenti... sia nel tipo a passo corto... che a passo lungo e tutte erano dotate di un motore con 4 cilindri a V stretta di circa 14°. Nelle prime 6 Serie… costruite dal 1923 al 1926… il motore era di 2120 cm3 ed erogava poco meno di 50 cavalli di potenza che portavano la vettura alla velocità massima di 110 chilometri orari nelle prime 4 Serie e di 115 nelle successive Serie V e VI. Nella VII Serie… questa visibile nella fotografia… e che fu costruita dal 1926 al 1928… la cilindrata fu aumentata a 2374 cm3 e la potenza… che adesso era di quasi 60 cavalli… portava la vettura fino a 115 chilometri orari di velocità massima. Le ultime Serie… la VIII e la IX… furono costruite dal 1928 al 1931. La cilindrata del loro motore fu ulteriormente aumentata a 2569 cm3 che così erogando quasi 70 cavalli di potenza portava le vetture a circa 120 chilometri orari di velocità massima.
