With heavy rain forecast by 7 a.m. tomorrow morning, these guys will be combining the harvest ALL through the night, under guidance from powerful lights on the machines.

I spent over two hours watching, photographing and even talking to some of them this evening, this being my very last shot as it had become too dark to see, let alone to photograph! I then had to walk 2km for the bus home.

It really was this dark and I purposefully have not tried to artificially open up the darkness, as the sensor noise just would not be acceptable and the image would look bad and wrong.

Shot at 300mm and totally handheld.
